JAMES J. MOORHEAD, Principal
Prior to founding SSK Architecture, James Moorhead was
project architect and designer in several firms for
projects that included art galleries, residences, corporate
offices, and transit stations. It was his experience
during this time that made him realize that projects
become obsolete in a short time and that the construction
industry lags behind other industries in the rate at
which it incorporates new technologies and materials
into practice. These two realizations, combined with
a fascination of movement and invention, provided him
with the vision for SSK Architecture. Since founding
SSK Architecture, his clients have included international
firms such as Nike and Polo Ralph Lauren and local companies
such as Urban Physiology. The firm also designs private
residences. James Moorhead holds a Master of Science
in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University
and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.
He is licensed to practice architecture in Washington,
New York and Connecticut
